Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thad Thayer (ranked 21013 p4p, 23331 weight class) and Silver Bullion (ranked 113 p4p, 242 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thad Thayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Silver Bullion!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thayer misses with a takedown attempt - Bullion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bullion throws a right hand that Thayer ducks under and follows up with a left that Thayer also avoids with ease.
Bullion throws a shot from downtown. Thayer moves away and avoids it.
Thayer appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bullion shoots in for a double leg but Thayer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bullion pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Thayer back to the cage. Bullion follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Bullion is refusing to be controlled, as Thayer sits in half guard.
Bullion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thayer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thayer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bullion's waist but Bullion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thayer off to one side.
Bullion gets tackled into the cage by Thayer. Thayer maintains the clinch.
Thayer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bullion gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thad Thayer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thayer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bullion avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bullion rushes Thayer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Thayer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bullion avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Thayer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bullion manages to get himself to full guard.
Bullion wants to get back to his feet but Thayer passes into half guard.
Thayer wants to take a breather but Bullion is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Thayer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

That was a close round but I would say that Thad Thayer will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bullion forces Thayer back against the cage and clinches.
Thayer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bullion closes the distance and clinches.
Thayer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bullion tries to pull guard but Thayer holds him up against the cage and eventually Bullion drops back down to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bullion moves in looking to clinch but Thayer pushes him off.

letting Thayer counter with a right hand.

Bullion is trying to pull guard but Thayer has him pressed against the cage.
Thad Thayer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silver Bullion.
Thayer manages to pull guard.
Thayer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Bullion is looking to stand up but Thayer won't let him.
Bullion is sitting in close to Thayer's body. Thayer has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Bullion is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Bullion is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Thayer.
