Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Young (ranked 23156 p4p, 24511 weight class) and Giuseppe De Rossi (ranked 637 p4p, 700 weight class). The key to victory for Tristan Young has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tristan Young! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giuseppe De Rossi! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Rossi dives in and scores a takedown into Young's guard. De Rossi landing with the ground and pound. De Rossi landing with the ground and pound. De Rossi passes into half guard. Young is trying to defend against the ground and pound but De Rossi scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Rossi winds up and cracks Young with a swinging punch to the side of the head. De Rossi working Young over with strikes. De Rossi content to control rather than advance. De Rossi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. De Rossi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Young! De Rossi putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Young taking shots to the head. De Rossi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

De Rossi has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at IMMAC Training Facility™ ($50/week). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Rossi controlling the pace for now. De Rossi raining down hammerfists from mount. Young is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. De Rossi locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Young is forced to tap!
