Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jjjj Klf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannu Nishkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jjjj Klf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hannu Nishkanen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klf looks for a takedown but Nishkanen sprawls well.
Nishkanen throws a head kick that Klf semi-blocks.

Nishkanen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Klf to the mat! Klf manages to get full guard.
Klf tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Nishkanen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nishkanen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nishkanen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Klf swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Klf has his foot on Nishkanen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nishkanen works his way back into a safe position though.
Klf manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Nishkanen throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Klf fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Klf pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Nishkanen tries to reverse the position but Klf maintains control.
Klf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nishkanen tries to lock up and control but Klf gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nishkanen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Nishkanen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Nishkanen looks gassed!
Klf trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Klf is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nishkanen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nishkanen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Nishkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klf. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nishkanen is desperately trying to improve his position but Klf has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nishkanen wants to control but Klf is having none of it.

Klf is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nishkanen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Nishkanen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Nishkanen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klf is working away from the top position though.
Nishkanen preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Klf drops an elbow to the side of Nishkanen's head.
Klf tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Nishkanen.
Nishkanen is looking to control Klf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nishkanen avoid being mounted?
Klf landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nishkanen is looking to escape.
Nishkanen is looking to control Klf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nishkanen avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nishkanen clinches.
Nishkanen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Klf has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Klf gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Klf thows a big elbow that misses.
Nishkanen wants to stand up but Klf is controlling him.
Nishkanen controls Klf momentarily but Klf frees himself.
Klf tries to free his leg and advance position but Nishkanen is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hannu Nishkanen will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Klf walks into a straight right hand from Nishkanen.
Klf looks for a takedown but Nishkanen sprawls well.
Nishkanen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nishkanen instigates a clinch.

Nishkanen manages to break the clinch.

Nishkanen lands with a kick to the temple. Klf shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Nishkanen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Klf gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Klf uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Klf wants to clinch but Nishkanen slips to the side

and Nishkanen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Klf!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nishkanen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Klf wants to control but Nishkanen is having none of it.

Hannu Nishkanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Klf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Klf shoots for a takedown but Nishkanen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nishkanen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jjjj Klf is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nishkanen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Nishkanen breaks the clinch.

Nishkanen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Klf has his foot on Nishkanen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nishkanen works his way back into a safe position though.

Nishkanen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Klf!

Nishkanen wants to control the pace but Klf is squirming around nicely.

Nishkanen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Klf is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Klf and Nishkanen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Klf is trying to improve his position.
Klf manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nishkanen's best efforts.
Nishkanen is keen to just control but Klf is a slippery customer.
Nishkanen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Klf with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hannu Nishkanen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nishkanen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
