Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enz Kong (ranked 3010 p4p, 4986 weight class) and Roger Mesquita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Enz Kong !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Mesquita!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kong wants it to stay on the feet.
Kong fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mesquita just manages to avoid it.

Kong feints and as Mesquita raises his hands in defense, Kong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mesquita is trying to drag Kong to the mat but Kong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mesquita fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mesquita tries to close the distance and clinch but Kong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mesquita can do to turn this around?

Mesquita fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kong to the ground. Mesquita is now in Kong 's guard.
Mesquita stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kong swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kong controls Mesquita momentarily but Mesquita frees himself.

Mesquita is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mesquita manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kong has Mesquita in his guard.
