Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Laveaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick Fist is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre Laveaux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Fist! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laveaux moves into range and clinches up with Fist. Laveaux ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Laveaux no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Laveaux is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fist dives into side control.
Laveaux is looking for a sweep. Laveaux on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Laveaux tries to get out of the position. Laveaux wants to get back to his feet but Fist drags him back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laveaux tries to bench press Fist off him but Fist keeps the position. Fist tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laveaux is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fist asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fist working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Laveaux throws a left that rocks Fist and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Laveaux dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Fist regain composure!
Laveaux decides to stand back up. Laveaux steps back and let's Fist get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Laveaux, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fist misses with a takedown attempt - Laveaux sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fist misses with a body shot.
Laveaux with a poor takedown and Fist counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Laveaux's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Laveaux wants to stand and escape but Fist is having none of it. Fist seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fist looking to pass the guard. Laveaux wants to improve his position but instead Fist has moved into half guard.
Laveaux tries to kick Fist off but Fist keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fist trying to control the action but Laveaux is working from the bottom. Laveaux won't allow Fist to pass to mount.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fist uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laveaux.
Laveaux falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fist counters with a nice double leg into side control. Laveaux won't be happy with that. Laveaux is looking to regain half guard here but Fist keeps moving and retains side control. Laveaux is looking to get back to his feet here but Fist is keeping cool and he's managed to take Laveaux's back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pierre Laveaux will probably get the nod. That's time! Laveaux's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nice uppercut lands for Laveaux. That snapped Fist's head back.
Laveaux gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fist counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fist. Laveaux looking for a sweep. Not yet Laveaux, not yet. Laveaux is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Laveaux wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Fist manages to pass to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laveaux has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fist is working away from the top position though. Fist frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Laveaux is trying to reverse the position but instead Fist has taken his back - oops! Laveaux looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fist trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Laveaux can't escape the position.
Laveaux trying to control but not successfully. Laveaux controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laveaux tries to roll but Fist sticks to his back.
Laveaux is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fist has the hooks in. Laveaux is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Fist has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Laveaux's body.
Laveaux trying to control the action but Fist just sinks the hooks in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Fist showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Laveaux fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Laveaux attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Laveaux closes the distance and clinches up with Fist, looking for a takedown. Laveaux pushes Fist against the cage but Fist circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Laveaux will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fist swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Laveaux closes the distance and pushes Fist back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fist has Laveaux pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Laveaux manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Laveaux is stalling here.
Fist drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Laveaux gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fist can't get the takedown.
Pierre Laveaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Fist. Laveaux is looking to break free of the clinch but Fist has double underhooks. Laveaux can't break the clinch.
Laveaux pushes Fist back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Laveaux controlling the action here for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Stalling in the clinch from Laveaux.
Fist is trying to drag Laveaux to the mat but Laveaux just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Laveaux wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fist has him pressed against the cage. Laveaux tries to break the clinch but Fist is controlling the position. Fist drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fist prevents Laveaux from breaking the clinch. Laveaux has had enough of the clinch but Fist keeps him there for the moment. Laveaux wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Laveaux tries to pull guard but Fist holds him up against the cage and eventually Laveaux drops back down to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fist drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Laveaux gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Laveaux wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fist has him pressed against the cage. Laveaux fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fist keeps control of Laveaux as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Fist goes for a takedown attempt but Laveaux pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Laveaux changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fist tries to avoid it but Laveaux manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fist to the ground. Fist escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Laveaux throws a right and a left that both miss. Fist takes a shot right to the bread basket. Laveaux with a lazy takedown attempt and Fist counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Laveaux is trying to stand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Laveaux trying to control but Fist postures up.
Laveaux wants to get back to full guard but Fist has passed into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rick Fist. I think Fist has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
