Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lars Phantom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrell Newsome!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newsome missing with a left hand there. Phantom was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Phantom tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Newsome manages to circle out of the way.
Newsome keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Newsome misses with a straight right.
Newsome cracks Phantom with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Phantom looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Newsome uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phantom.
Newsome cracks a nice hook into Phantom's ribs.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phantom misses the shot to the body.
Newsome throws out a counter right but Phantom avoids it with no problem.
Newsome uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Phantom has time to react.
Newsome tries to clinch but Phantom is having none of it.

Phantom shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Newsome as he avoids it easily.
Newsome swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Lars Phantom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Phantom ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Newsome moves away.
Phantom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Newsome was well out of range. Poor timing from Phantom.
Phantom lunges at Newsome with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Newsome's hand.
Newsome shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Phantom eats them both and turns towards Newsome to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Phantom throws a body shot but no joy.
A combination from Phantom does no damage.
Newsome is looking for the big counter here.
Newsome connects with a crisp jab.

Darrell Newsome is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Newsome swats away the attempt to clinch by Phantom.
Newsome listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Oh Phantom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Phantom switches off momentarily and Newsome cracks him with a monster right hand! Phantom topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Newsome dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Newsome!
