Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sensai Kuragi (ranked 2643 p4p, 2657 weight class) and Daniel Barbosa (ranked 376 p4p, 378 weight class). Daniel Barbosa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuragi has his takedown stuffed
and Barbosa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuragi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Barbosa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Barbosa wants to pass the guard but Kuragi is keeping the position.

Kuragi has his foot on Barbosa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barbosa works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Barbosa tries to roll over but Kuragi keeps him under control.
Kuragi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Barbosa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kuragi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kuragi's back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sensai Kuragi.
Well Barbosa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
