Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 4035 p4p, 3785 weight class) and Fred Hoyle (ranked 511 p4p, 488 weight class). Doe's entrance music is Beastie Boys - Gratitude. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that John Doe has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Doe seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fred Hoyle!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe swings widly with a right hand
and Hoyle counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hoyle scores with a punch to the head.
Hoyle closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Doe scores with a jab.
Hoyle ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hoyle's coach down at Monkey Magic was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hoyle's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Doe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hoyle.
A punch lands to the side of Doe 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hoyle scores with a body shot.
Hoyle lands with a good body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoyle scores with a jab to the jaw.
Doe shoots in but Hoyle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Doe ducks under a wild hook from Hoyle.
Hoyle walks into a straight right hand from Doe.

Hoyle ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hoyle is looking for the big counter here.
Doe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Doe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Doe moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Fred Hoyle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Doe misses with a hook
and Hoyle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hoyle looks to land a left hand but Doe moved out of range nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Doe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Doe blocks a jab.
Hoyle throws the left hand but Doe avoids the punch easily.
Doe doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Doe closes the distance and clinches.
Hoyle will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Doe up against the cage.
Doe trying to control the position but instead, Hoyle has worked for underhooks and has pushed Doe into the cage.

Hoyle gets underhooks to prevent Doe's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Doe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoyle digs a right hand into Doe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Doe's gas tank.

and Doe counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Doe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoyle.

Doe throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hoyle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hoyle lands a nice shot to the body.
Hoyle connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Hoyle throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Doe moves forwards but Hoyle connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Doe is rocked!
A big right from Hoyle misses.
Hoyle lands a really nice looking cross but Doe seems unphased.
Oh Doe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hoyle looks to land a right hand but Doe moved out of range.
Hoyle throws a pinpoint strike between Doe's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Doe crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Hoyle scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fred Hoyle!
Fred Hoyle decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
