Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reuben Kennedy (ranked 1926 p4p, 2801 weight class) and Aahil Mohammad (ranked 279 p4p, 399 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Kennedy coming out on top.
Kennedy clobbers Mohammad with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mohammad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kennedy pinned against the cage. Kennedy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mohammad looking to score a takedown here. Kennedy is defending well but Mohammad drives through and ends up in Kennedy's guard.
Kennedy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kennedy tries to get out of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mohammad seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mohammad throws a strike but Kennedy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kennedy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mohammad pulls Kennedy in close to prevent any damage.
Mohammad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mohammad is pulling down on Kennedy's head. It's preventing any offense from Kennedy, at least for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Mohammad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kennedy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
It looked like Kennedy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Reuben Kennedy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aahil Mohammad.
Kennedy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kennedy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mohammad with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kennedy to score with a decent uppercut.
Kennedy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mohammad's head.

Mohammad looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kennedy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kennedy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mohammad. Mohammad circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mohammad is rocked!
Kennedy lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Mohammad up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kennedy from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Mohammad's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Reuben Kennedy!
