Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuuji Hoshino (ranked 4463 p4p, 5246 weight class) and Kodiyak Redd (ranked 257 p4p, 286 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yuuji Hoshino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kodiyak Redd!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redd tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Yuuji Hoshino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redd takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Redd takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Redd shoots in looking for a takedown but Hoshino manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Redd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Redd ducks right into an uppercut from Hoshino.

and Redd counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Redd slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hoshino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Redd on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoshino parries the strikes from Redd easily there. Redd is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hoshino to escape.
Hoshino tries to bench press Redd off him but Redd keeps the position.
Redd has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Redd tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoshino is not content to let Redd control the position.
Redd throws a strike aimed at the side of Hoshino's head but Hoshino avoids it well.

Redd is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hoshino has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hoshino on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hoshino tries to get out of the position.

Redd is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hoshino to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hoshino shrugs it off.
