Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darnell Klutie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Elvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elvis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Elvis Presley - In The Ghetto. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Elvis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elvis circles away from the clinch attempt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Klutie.
Elvis jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Klutie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Elvis was well out of range. Poor timing from Klutie.

Klutie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Klutie.
Elvis misses the jab.
Klutie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Klutie throws a front kick aimed at Elvis's knee but Elvis avoids it well.

so Elvis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Elvis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Klutie is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Elvis, into his guard.

Klutie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Elvis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Elvis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Elvis!

Elvis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Klutie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Elvis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Klutie fails with the takedown

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Elvis connects with a nice short shot to Klutie's temple.
