Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tigor Nainggolan (ranked 4497 p4p, 3330 weight class) and Nick Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Peterson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tigor Nainggolan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Skip Squint and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nainggolan.
Nainggolan has a takedown stuffed.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nainggolan is defended easily by Peterson.
Nainggolan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A telegraphed right hand from Peterson misses the target.
Nainggolan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peterson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nainggolan somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tigor Nainggolan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peterson drops Nainggolan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nainggolan looks back up at him and smiles so Peterson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Nainggolan is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peterson finds Nainggolan's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Nainggolan flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Peterson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Nainggolan will be OK.
