Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhonny Lait (ranked 3183 p4p, 3189 weight class) and Shang OR (ranked 77 p4p, 110 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jhonny Lait!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shang OR!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lait shoots in but OR avoids the takedown attempt easily.
OR takes one on the button.
OR blocks a head kick by Lait.

OR feints and as Lait raises his hands in defense, OR changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lait might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lait keeping moving, preventing OR from controlling successfully.
Lait is looking to stand back up but OR counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OR looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OR wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lait keeps working.
Lait tries to roll over but OR keeps him under control.
Lait keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lait trying to hold on to OR's head to control him but OR postures up.
Lait on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lait tries to get out of the position.
OR wants to stand up but Lait is controlling the position.
Lait is not content to let OR control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lait avoiding damage under a succession of punches from OR.
Lait is looking to control OR's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lait avoid being mounted?

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Lait closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into OR's guard.

OR kicks Lait off and gets to his feet.
OR keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lait shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says OR as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jhonny Lait. That's going to take a lot out of him.

OR has Lait up against the cage in a clinch.
Lait drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lait is breathing heavily.

OR manages to pull guard.

OR is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lait is aware though and is defending well.
Lait is fighting to break OR's control of his arms but OR is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
OR looking to control.
OR lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

OR forces his way into half guard.

OR looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
OR is looking to take a break and control but Lait is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
OR not landing any meaningful shots this time.
OR looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lait with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lait knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for OR on the ground.

OR is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OR stands up out of the half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Shang OR dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lait shoots in but no luck this time.
OR looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lait is fending him off so far but OR persists. Nope, Lait circles away and we're back to standing.
Lait shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as OR sprawls well. OR wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lait gets slowly back to his feet.
Lait stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lait wants it to stay on the feet.
Lait throws a big counter combination but OR scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Lait fails in his attempt to clinch.

Lait gets caught napping as OR dives in and scores a takedown. Lait manages to retain guard.
Lait tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shang OR has got the better of the ground game so far.

OR stands and steps away. Lait gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lait tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. OR manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
OR shapes to counter with a head kick.

OR shoots in but no luck this time.
Jhonny Lait has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shang OR.
Lait tries to close the distance and clinch up but OR swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and OR counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
OR has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
OR tries to stand but Lait is controlling from the bottom.
Lait keeping moving, preventing OR from controlling successfully.
OR slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
OR has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

OR lands a decent elbow from side control.
Lait is not content to let OR control the position.

OR stands up.

Lait closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into OR's guard.

OR trying to keep a closed guard but Lait is proving a slippery customer.

OR has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lait has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Lait blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

OR manages to break the clinch.
OR shoots in and drives through. Lait sprawls well.

Lait instigates a clinch.
Lait fails to pull the fight into his guard.
OR jumps guard but Lait stands there with OR around his waist. OR gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lait is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. OR is defending well for now.
Lait wants to break free but OR has control.
OR leaning his opponent against the cage.
OR goes for a takedown attempt but Lait pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Lait rushes OR and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lait wants a takedown.

Shang OR showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lait dives in for a single leg takedown but OR sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lait has had enough of the clinch but OR keeps him there for the moment.

Lait is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. OR can't fight it off and eventually Lait manages to take the fight to the floor. OR looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

OR pushes Lait off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

OR shoots for a double leg takedown but Lait sprawls well. He's pushed OR's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lait stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. OR swivels though and keeps the full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
OR goes for a double leg but Lait avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lait continues to drive forward.
Jhonny Lait has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shang OR.
OR tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lait paws at him with a jab and circles away.
OR is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
OR shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lait defends it nicely.
Lait attempts a counter takedown but OR avoids it well and moves away.
Lait throws a front kick aimed at OR's knee but OR avoids it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sloppy strikes from OR. Those never looked like landing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lait.

Shang OR comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got OR winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
