The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrim slips a jab from Shearer.
A slapping body kick lands there for Shearer.
Shearer misses with a straight left.
As Shearer tries to get set, McGrim tries to push him back and clinch up but Shearer manages to avoid the attempt.
McGrim is looking to clinch but Shearer is avoiding it.
McGrim shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shearer is trying to defend but McGrim finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Shearer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGrim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McGrim is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shearer sees it coming and defends easily.
