Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Filipe Marcal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Huyarik! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huyarik drives through and clinches with Marcal against the cage.
Huyarik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Huyarik moves into range and clinches up with Marcal. Marcal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Huyarik leaves Marcal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Huyarik drops Marcal with a left and a right! Oh, Marcal is hurt - Huyarik dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Filipe Marcal has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Huyarik decides to stand back up. Oh Marcal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nice sprawl there from Huyarik as Marcal shoots in. Marcal shoots in and drives through. Huyarik sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Filipe Marcal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marcal rushes Huyarik and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Huyarik lands a body shot in the clinch.

Huyarik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marcal seems to have got his legs back now. Huyarik throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Marcal's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Huyarik dives in looking to finish as Marcal flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Huyarik's strikes! Huyarik is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Marcal's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Marcal was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
