Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scoot Tatum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hercules Simbolon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simbolon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Simbolon landing with the ground and pound.
Tatum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Simbolon sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Simbolon works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Simbolon in particular looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tatum tries to get to full guard but Simbolon has control of the leg.

It looks like Simbolon might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Tatum wants to control but Simbolon passes into side.

BOOM! Simbolon connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Simbolon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tatum is trying to escape the mount but Simbolon keeps good control and instead manages to take Tatum's back.
Simbolon has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Tatum! Can he survive? No! He's out! Simbolon gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hercules Simbolon!
