Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppe Hopkins (ranked 71 p4p, 153 weight class) and Lenny Kowalski (ranked 13 p4p, 29 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Giuseppe Hopkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lenny Kowalski! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hopkins walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kowalski. A good leg kick by Kowalski. Kowalski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kowalski lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kowalski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A big right from Hopkins misses. Lenny Kowalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kowalski sizes up Hopkins with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Some wild striking there from Kowalski.
Kowalski goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hopkins thinks about countering with a body kick. Hopkins showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kowalski.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kowalski tried to score with a low kick but Hopkins checks it. Hopkins misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kowalski misses with a leg kick and Hopkins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kowalski throws a poor cross that misses
and Hopkins counters with a nice uppercut. Kowalski ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hopkins drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kowalski looks to throw the jab but Hopkins is out of range. Kowalski misses with a body kick. Kowalski throws out a leg kick but Hopkins moves out of range and Kowalski only half commits. Kowalski lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hopkins slips a straight right by Kowalski. Hopkins explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hopkins drops Kowalski with a straight right hand, right on the button! Hopkins follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giuseppe Hopkins! Giuseppe Hopkins was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
