The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov throws a head kick but Jooginz moves out of range.
Vladimir Kozlov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kozlov throws a nice looking combination but Jooginz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kozlov throws a series of punches but Jooginz avoids them all with ease.
Kozlov misses with a body kick.
Jooginz moves out of range of the strikes.

Jooginz shoots in and bounces Kozlov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jooginz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Jooginz looks up at the clock and then as Kozlov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jooginz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kozlov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jooginz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kozlov takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Jooginz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jooginz tries to move to full mount but Kozlov actually manages to regain half guard.
