Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Fluke (ranked 6195 p4p, 3076 weight class) and Ville Helmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ville Helmer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raymond Fluke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ville Helmer!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Helmer checks a leg kick.
Helmer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fluke as he jumps to the side.
Fluke fails with a takedown attempt.
Fluke swats away the attempt to clinch by Helmer.
Helmer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Helmer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fluke drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Helmer is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Helmer taking punishment in the form of punches.
Fluke works to advance to full mount. Helmer defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Helmer is trying to escape the mount.
Fluke sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Helmer is trying desperately to improve position.
Helmer tries to hold on but Fluke pushes him away.

Fluke controlling the position easily from mount.
Fluke seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Helmer for as long as he can get away with.
Fluke avoids the attempt from Helmer to control.
Fluke cracks Helmer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Fluke lands a heavy elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Helmer is in all sorts of trouble here.
Fluke is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Fluke controlling the pace for now.
Helmer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Helmer wants to control but Fluke is having none of it.

Fluke is in the full mount, landing strikes.
BOOM! Fluke connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fluke tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fluke is working for a guillotine from mount but Helmer frees his head quite easily.
Fluke lands a big elbow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fluke prevents Helmer from getting the reversal.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Fluke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fluke moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Helmer is looking to clinch but Fluke is avoiding it.
Helmer shoots for a takedown but Fluke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Helmer tries to close the distance and clinch but Fluke swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Helmer tries a head kick but it misses.
Fluke fails to land the takedown.
Fluke swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Helmer wants to counter the offense by Fluke and move into the clinch position.

Fluke fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Helmer, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Helmer pulls guard effortlessly.
Fluke passes Helmer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fluke controlling the pace.
Fluke working the head and body with strikes.

Fluke sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Helmer is looking to control Fluke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Helmer avoid being mounted?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Helmer is trying to maintain the position but Fluke is very close to passing his half guard.
Raymond Fluke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fluke keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Helmer works his way to full guard. Good work.
Helmer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Fluke lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fluke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fluke stays in close to Helmer's body and controls the position.
Fluke wants to stand but Helmer is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Fluke throws a head kick that misses.
Helmer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Fluke is looking for a counter combo.

Fluke is working for a kimura but Helmer is defending it quite comfortably.
Fluke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Helmer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fluke looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Helmer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fluke tries to stand and escape but Helmer is controlling the position.
Helmer is looking for a sweep. Fluke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Helmer wants to control but Fluke is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fluke takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fluke is looking to advance position but Helmer won't allow it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Raymond Fluke dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Helmer closes the distance looking to clinch
and Fluke counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Fluke closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fluke lands in his opponent's guard.
Fluke seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Helmer is working an open guard so Fluke takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fluke has his hands clasped together around Helmer's back. He's all about the action.
Helmer is trying to control the action in half guard but Fluke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fluke manages to get to full guard.

Fluke had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Helmer defends it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Helmer trying to control but Fluke is working from the bottom.
Fluke seems keen to control Helmer's posture.

Fluke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Fluke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fluke showed some decent athleticism there.
Helmer is looking to control Fluke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Helmer avoid being mounted?

Helmer is defending against the submission attempts here by Fluke.

Fluke wants to control but Helmer is keeping him busy.
Fluke is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Helmer!

Well Fluke has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
