The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savon swinging wildly here.
Savon keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Savon! But no joy.
Savon cracks Mendes with a good jab.
It looks like Danilo Mendes has been cut.
Savon throws a right hand that Mendes ducks under and follows up with a left that Mendes also avoids with ease.
Mendes wants to clinch up but Savon keeps it at a distance.
Savon sends Mendes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Savon is motioning to the referee to let Mendes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mendes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Savon pinned against the cage. Savon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Savon scores with a punch to the head.
Sloppy strikes from Savon. Those never looked like landing.
Savon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mendes at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab from Savon finds it's way through Mendes's defenses.
Savon lands with a right and another and another! Mendes is in big trouble! Savon lands again and this time it's lights out for Mendes! A quality knockout there for Savon.
