The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Roger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Roger from controlling successfully.
Roger throws an elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roger's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Roger seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Roger wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Roger is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Roger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silva lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Roger down.
Roger is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Punch Out Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Roger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.

Oh but Roger is tightening it up a little... Silva has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Silva reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Silva taps out! Nice BJJ there by Roger!
