PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phill Collins (ranked 2814 p4p, 4599 weight class) and Prince Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 559 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Collins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to J Roc - It Could Happen To You.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Collins scores with a jab to the jaw.
Pierce uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Collins.

Nice uppercut there from Collins.
Collins changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Collins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pierce.
Pierce fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Collins punishes Pierce's body with a nice straight punch.
Pierce throws a nice looking combination but Collins bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Collins has cracked Pierce with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Collins lands another huge swinging hook and Pierce tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Pierce, before Collins can land any more shots!

In his post fight interview, Phill Collins gave a big smile as he said 'peanut butter and jaaaaaaaaaaammmmm!'.
