Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gaby Dangus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kamarudeen Adesanya!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adesanya drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Adesanya decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dangus to his feet.
Dangus closes the distance looking to clinch
and Adesanya counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Adesanya is pawing at Dangus, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Dangus's nose. Dangus is badly hurt! Adesanya pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Dangus tries desperately to hold on but Adesanya is relentless in his assault! As Dangus receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Adesanya away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kamarudeen Adesanya!
In his post fight interview, Kamarudeen Adesanya started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
