Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Biff Bagwell (ranked 25357 p4p, 25331 weight class) and Tommy Gavin (ranked 725 p4p, 719 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Biff Bagwell has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Biff Bagwell seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Biff Bagwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy Gavin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Tommy Gavin has been cut.
Bagwell throws a leg kick
and Gavin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bagwell!
Gavin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bagwell tries to buck Gavin off but Gavin is having none of it.
Gavin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bagwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gavin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bagwell manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bagwell is trying to control but can't.
Gavin wants to work for an arm triangle but Bagwell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bagwell lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bagwell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gavin is just riding it out for now. Bagwell eventually gives up the hold.
Gavin manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Bagwell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gavin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gavin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bagwell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bagwell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gavin defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bagwell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gavin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bagwell looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bagwell is looking for a triangle but Gavin pushes his legs off easily.

Bagwell has his foot on Gavin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gavin works his way back into a safe position though.

Let's hope that Gavin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bagwell can't keep his opponent in guard - Gavin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bagwell is trying to maintain the position but Gavin is very close to passing his half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tommy Gavin will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gavin ducks right into an uppercut from Bagwell.

and Gavin counters with a two punch combo.
Gavin ducks under a wild hook from Bagwell.
Gavin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bagwell!
Gavin throws an elbow but Bagwell slips to the side and avoids it well.
Gavin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bagwell, who protects the arm well.
Bagwell manages to get back to half guard.
Bagwell makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bagwell.
Bagwell is trying to control the position but Gavin postures up.

Bagwell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bagwell is trying to control the action in half guard but Gavin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Gavin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bagwell pulls his head out easily.

Bagwell is stalling here. Gavin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bagwell seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gavin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Gavin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bagwell wants to improve his position but Gavin is controlling well.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gavin in particular looking to stall.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gavin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bagwell is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gavin has his hands clasped together but Bagwell extends and breaks Gavin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bagwell.
