Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Berto Kin (ranked 19610 p4p, 5116 weight class) and Brandon Simmons (ranked 793 p4p, 602 weight class). Simmons has chosen 3Hunna as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Berto Kin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kin throws a front kick aimed at Simmons's knee but Simmons avoids it well.
Kin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kin misses with the combination.
Some wild striking there from Kin.
Kin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Kin throws a series of punches but Simmons moves out of range.
Kin throws a sloppy head kick and Simmons moves out of range easily.
Kin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Simmons connects with a leg kick.
Simmons has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Simmons escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Berto Kin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Simmons counters with a left to the body.

Simmons has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kin blocking some punches.
Simmons tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kin's elbow.
Kin blocks an uppercut.
Our sources have told us that Kin has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Kin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kin misses with a wild combination.
Kin scores with a push kick.

Simmons fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Simmons tests Kin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Simmons circles away quickly and effectively.
Simmons jabs at Kin's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Simmons clinches up with Kin and pushes him back against the ropes.
Kin lands a knee to the head.
A short right from Simmons on the inside.
Simmons lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Simmons working aggressively here.
Simmons misses with a body punch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Berto Kin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kin tries to keep at a distance but Simmons has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Simmons pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Simmons rushes Kin and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Simmons fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Simmons has a couple of punches blocked by Kin.
Simmons lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kin looks to land a combination. Simmons sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Brandon Simmons has been cut.
Kin looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Simmons lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Kin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Simmons throws a body shot but no joy.
Simmons dodges the punch combination from Kin.
Simmons lands with a good body shot.
Simmons tests Kin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Simmons misses with a few strikes there.
Kin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simmons moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Good leg kick by Simmons.
Kin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kin throws a series of punches but Simmons moves out of range.

Simmons dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Simmons lands with a straight right. Kin didn't see that one coming.
Kin walks into a left hand.
Kin throws a series of punches but Simmons avoids them all with ease.
Simmons flicks out a counter leg kick but Kin steps away.
Berto Kin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Simmons counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Simmons throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Good exchange - Simmons coming out on top.
Simmons misses with a two punch combination.
Simmons connects with the punch.
Kin misses with a double jab.
Kin throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Brandon Simmons showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Kin is looking to break free of the clinch but Simmons has double underhooks.
Simmons lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Simmons tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Simmons.
Kin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Simmons breaks the clinch.
Kin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Simmons circles away quickly and effectively.
Simmons has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kin is looking to land body kicks.
Kin connects with a solid leg kick.
Kin throws a sloppy head kick and Simmons moves out of range easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simmons throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Simmons lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kin backwards.

Brandon Simmons comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Simmons has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Brandon Simmons misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
