This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 28 wins and 24 losses; Sven Kristian Nielsen! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. A momentary lapse in concentration from Nielsen enables Gelfen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nielsen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Gelfen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gelfen. Nielsen looking to sit in guard and control but Gelfen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
