The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Silverio fails with the takedown

and Ortega counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ortega.

Silverio bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ortega's guard.

Silverio passes Ortega's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Ortega wants to improve his position but Silverio is controlling well.

Silverio moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Ortega.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ortega manages to get back to half guard.

Silverio wants to take a breather but Ortega manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Silverio.
Silverio tries to free his leg and advance position but Ortega is retaining full guard.

Silverio sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Ortega doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Silverio paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Ortega - great work!
