Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kent Fredricks (ranked 3592 p4p, 4823 weight class) and Inuyasha Fujita (ranked 116 p4p, 166 weight class). Fujita has chosen Heavens path leads through hell by - DRAGONFORCE as his entrance music. Kent Fredricks has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kent Fredricks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Inuyasha Fujita!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujita lands with a hook. Fredricks tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Fujita misses with an uppercut. Fredricks saw that one coming.
Fredricks throws the kick towards the body but Fujita avoids it.
Fujita throws a good cross that connects.
Fujita connects with a body shot that sends Fredricks's belly button to the back.
Fredricks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fredricks throws a head kick that misses.
Fredricks fails to land with a series of punches.
Fujita misses with a looping left.
Fredricks moves away from the strike by Fujita.
Fredricks throws a series of punches but Fujita avoids them all with ease.
Fredricks takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fredricks looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fujita uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fredricks.
A telegraphed right hand from Fujita misses the target.
Fujita feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fredrickss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fredricks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fujita feints the counter takedown.

Fujita scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Fredricks has one foot on Fujita's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Nice defenses there by Fredricks.
Fredricks has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight.
Fredricks swings for the body but Fujita moves out of range.

Fujita drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fujita trying to control but Fredricks is working from the bottom.
Fujita might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fredricks haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fredricks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fujita drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fredricks dives on top into guard.

Fujita has Fredricks pulled in close to control his posture.

Fujita is looking for a triangle but Fredricks pushes his legs off easily.
Fredricks wants to control from the top but Fujita keeps moving.
Fredricks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fujita is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fredricks defends well.

Fredricks gets to his feet - Fujita follows without any prompting.
Fredricks throws a right and a left that Fujita avoids nicely.
Fredricks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fredricks misses with a wild combination.
Fujita avoids the head kick by Fredricks.
Fredricks misses with a body shot.
Fujita slips a jab and a cross from Fredricks.
A combination from Fredricks does no damage.
Fujita swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Fredricks takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Fujita drives through with a takedown into Fredricks's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fredricks is breathing heavily.
Fredricks looking to control.

Fujita drops back looking for a leg! Fredricks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fredricks manages to kick Fujita off! Fujita jumps back into Fredricks's guard.
Fredricks can't keep his opponent in guard - Fujita advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fujita seems to be looking for submissions.
Fredricks regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fujita must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fujita wants to pass the guard but Fredricks is keeping the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kent Fredricks will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fredricks bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Fredricks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fujita is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fredricks's half guard.

Fujita seems to be looking for submissions.
Fredricks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fujita is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fujita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fredricks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fujita.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fujita is looking for a kimura but Fredricks is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fujita to get the leverage.

Fredricks regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fujita pushes down on Fredricks's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Fredricks is trying is best to control the position here.
Fujita is looking to advance position but Fredricks won't allow it.
Fredricks tries to roll over but Fujita keeps him under control.
Inuyasha Fujita has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fujita wants to pass to mount but Fredricks is defending the position.
Fredricks is staying active underneath Fujita, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fredricks won't allow Fujita to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fujita is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fredricks is just riding it out for now. Fujita eventually gives up the hold.
Fredricks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fredricks tries to get out of the position.

Fujita has his feet on Fredricks's thighs here. He's pushed Fredricks off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Fredricks screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
