Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Sakazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulkki pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryo Sakazaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hulkki pete! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakazaki slips a jab and a cross from pete.
pete looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sakazaki shoots in but pete avoids the takedown attempt easily. pete keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sakazaki shoots in for a takedown but pete shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryo Sakazaki. That's going to take a lot out of him. pete tries for a takedown but Sakazaki circles away easily and Sakazaki counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sakazaki. Sakazaki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! pete is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sakazaki, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. pete lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sakazaki is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakazaki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and pete counters with a body kick. Sakazaki fails miserably with a takedown attempt. pete fails in his attempt to clinch. Sakazaki shoots for a takedown but pete saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sakazaki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts pete as he jumps to the side. Sakazaki shoots in looking for a takedown. pete tries to sprawl out of it but Sakazaki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. pete manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. pete clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sakazaki is working for takedown but pete is calmly controlling the position for now. Sakazaki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. pete is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. pete wants a takedown but no success here.

Sakazaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. pete tries to avoid it but Sakazaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag pete to the ground. pete escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. pete tries to clinch but Sakazaki is having none of it. Sakazaki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryo Sakazaki will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sakazaki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in pete's guard. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. pete tries a head kick but it misses.
Horrible takedown by Sakazaki or perhaps it was just good defense by pete which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryo Sakazaki. Really nice guard pass there! pete is looking to improve his position but Sakazaki isn't that keen on the idea. pete has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

He's slipped one arm under the chin. pete has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sakazaki has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! pete taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sakazaki doesn't care though - he's delighted!
