The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munhoz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Munhoz looks for a takedown but mahon sprawls well.
A head kick misses from Munhoz.
Eduardo Munhoz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Munhoz throws a head kick but mahon moves out of range.
Munhoz throws a sloppy head kick and mahon moves out of range easily.
mahon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
mahon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
mahon is working to tighten is grip on Munhoz's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Munhoz has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but mahon is really squeezing tight and eventually Munhoz passes out! mahon breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
