Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre comes into the arena with Thunderstruck blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Andre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Andrade! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrade shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Andre as he avoids it easily. Andrade throws a series of punches but Andre moves out of range. Andrade closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andre tries to roll over but Andrade keeps him under control. Andrade is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Andrade is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Andre trying to hold on to Andrade's head to control him but Andrade postures up.
Andrade is looking for a kimura but Andre is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Andrade to get the leverage. Andre controlling the position well. Andrade is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Andre scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Andre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Andrade with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Andrade is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Andre scores with a couple of nice shots. Andre sitting and controlling from the half guard. Andre frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Andrade is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Andrade looks gassed! Andre is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Andrade can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Andrade is looking to improve his position but Andre isn't that keen on the idea. Andre controlling the position easily from mount. Andrade is trying to reverse the position but instead Andre has taken his back - oops! Andrade is trying to break free.
Andrade defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Andre's arms. The referee is taking a good look at Andrade as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Andre!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrade trying to control the position but Andre manages to sink in the hooks. Andre really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Andrade. I really don't envy Andrade right now.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Andre controlling the positon. Andre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Andrade can't escape the position.
Andrade is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Andre gets his way!
Andrade is trying to get back to his feet but Andre has full control of the position and if anything, Andrade has just worked his way into a worse spot. Andrade is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Andre has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Andrade's body.
Andre connects with a big shot to the side of Andrade's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Andre dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Andre drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Andrade is trying to keep Andre in close.
Andrade is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Andre scoring with punches to the head and body. Andrade is trying to control the position but Andre postures up. Andrade is looking for a triangle here but Andre uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Andre passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Andrade! Andre throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Andrade has his hands clasped together but Andre breaks the hold and Andrade is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Andre!
