Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre comes into the arena with Thunderstruck blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrade shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Andre as he avoids it easily.
Andrade throws a series of punches but Andre moves out of range.

Andrade closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andre tries to roll over but Andrade keeps him under control.

Andrade is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Andre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Andrade with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Andrade can't escape the position.

Andrade is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Andre gets his way!
Andrade is trying to get back to his feet but Andre has full control of the position and if anything, Andrade has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Andre has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Andrade's body.
