Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blake Leopoldo (ranked 4931 p4p, 3451 weight class) and Harris Mint (ranked 579 p4p, 438 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blake Leopoldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harris Mint! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Leopoldo misses. Mint closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Mint scores with a shot to the side of Leopoldo's head. Mint pushes Leopoldo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Mint lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Mint scores with a shoulder strike. A shot in the inside from Mint. Mint lands a nice uppercut. Leopoldo takes a shot to the head. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mint. A short right hand to the side of the head by Mint. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mint goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mint pushes Leopoldo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Mint tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Leopoldo's elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left hand lands to the body for Mint.
Mint lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Leopoldo. Leopoldo wants to stall.

Mint digs a right hand into Leopoldo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Leopoldo's gas tank. Mint lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Mint misses with a hook to the ribs.
A short uppercut from Mint. Mint working some nice short punches in the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Mint. Mint lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mint digs a right hand underneath Leopoldo's ribcage. Leopoldo let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Leopoldo is trying to maintain a safe position but Mint gets an underhook and turns Leopoldo into the cage. Mint lands a right hand that snaps the head of Leopoldo backwards. Mint lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mint misses with a punch to the body.
Mint scores with an uppercut up the middle. Mint misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mint lands a body punch in the clinch. Mint lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Leopoldo. Mint lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A hook to the body from Mint.
Leopoldo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Mint presses Leopoldo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Mint works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mint working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mint misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Leopoldo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mint is keeping busy. Mint digs a right hand into Leopoldo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Leopoldo's gas tank. Mint lands with a short head shot on the inside. Mint is leaning against Leopoldo and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Mint throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Leopoldo is breathing heavily. Mint lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Leopoldo backwards. Mint tries a body shot but Leopoldo blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mint creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mint digs a right hand underneath Leopoldo's ribcage. Leopoldo let out a lung full of air as it connected. Mint manages to pull guard.
Mint is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leopoldo defends well. Mint is trying to control the position but Leopoldo postures up. Mint pulls Leopoldo in close to prevent any damage. Mint wants to sweep here but Leopoldo controlling him for the moment. Mint is looking for a guillotine. Harris Mint dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mint rushes Leopoldo and presses him up against the cage. Mint lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Leopoldo takes a shot to the head. Leopoldo prevents a body shot from Mint. Mint lands a hook to the side of the head. Mint ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mint no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mint has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Leopoldo postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mint looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leopoldo is one step ahead there. Leopoldo looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mint has his foot on Leopoldo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leopoldo works his way back into a safe position though. Mint is trying to control the position but Leopoldo postures up. Mint is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Leopoldo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Mint looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leopoldo is trying to control. Mint wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mint is trying to control but can't.
Leopoldo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mint trying to control but Leopoldo postures up.
Mint looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mint wants to control but Leopoldo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leopoldo trying to control from half guard but Mint is working away. Mint is trying to maintain the position but Leopoldo is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mint drives through with a takedown into guard. Mint wants to pass the guard but Leopoldo is keeping the position. Mint trying to control but Leopoldo is working from the bottom. Mint tries to free his leg and advance position but Leopoldo is retaining full guard. Leopoldo trying to control the position.
Mint is in close to Leopoldo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leopoldo controls Mint momentarily but Mint frees himself. Mint landing with the ground and pound. Mint not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Leopoldo trying to keep a closed guard but Mint is proving a slippery customer.
Mint throwing strikes from guard but Leopoldo blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mint working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Harris Mint showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Leopoldo gets caught napping as Mint dives in and scores a takedown. Leopoldo manages to retain guard. Mint scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mint connects with a couple of short punches. Mint trying to control the position from guard on top but Leopoldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mint has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Leopoldo has momentary wrist control but Mint slips an elbow through the middle. Mint postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Mint controls from within his opponent's guard. Mint postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leopoldo is keeping the position for now. Mint passes Leopoldo's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mint controlling the pace. Mint seems to be working for a kimura but Leopoldo defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ground and pound from Mint. Mint working over Leopoldo with some ground and pound. Leopoldo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mint missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mint seems to be looking for submissions.
Mint is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leopoldo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mint. Mint landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mint is thwarting Leopoldo's attempts to control the position. Harris Mint has got the better of the ground game so far. Mint seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Mint is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mint seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mint moves into full mount! Leopoldo won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leopoldo wants to control but Mint is having none of it. Harris Mint is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mint with good strikes from the mount here! Mint controlling from the full mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leopoldo is looking to improve his position but Mint isn't that keen on the idea. Blake Leopoldo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mint lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Harris Mint comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mint winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
