The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Hammer misses its intended target.
Hammer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Danis.
Hammer tries to clinch but Danis is having none of it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hammer. Danis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hammer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hammer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Danis is just riding it out for now. Hammer eventually gives up the hold.
Hammer is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammer throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Danis to regain full guard.

Dillon Danis opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
