Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Trout!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leifsson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Trout counters with a shoot takedown. Leifsson fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trout stands up over Leifsson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Trout sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leifsson's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Trout connects with a nice short shot to Leifsson's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Trout is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Trout looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Trout's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Leifsson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trout landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
It looks like Gustaf Leifsson has been cut.
Trout maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Leifsson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Trout has cracked it and Leifsson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Trout!
