The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schneider tries to keep at a distance but Menzies has taken the fight into the clinch.
Menzies misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Schneider.

Schneider tries to work over Menzies's front leg with a kick but Menzies checks it.

Menzies pushes Schneider up against the cage in a clinch.

Menzies works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Schneider wants to stand up but Menzies is controlling him.
Schneider wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Menzies manages to pass to side control.
Menzies throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Menzies stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Schneider to get to his feet.

Schneider gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Menzies wants to control from the top but Schneider keeps moving.
Menzies not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Menzies is standing up over Schneider. Schneider looks to escape but Menzies dives into side control.

Menzies postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schneider looks a forlorn figure.

Menzies has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Schneider's body.
