PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Powder Power (ranked 24243 p4p, 2703 weight class) and Jack Kerouac (ranked 780 p4p, 351 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power throws a body shot but no joy.

Kerouac is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Power.

Kerouac gets through Power's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kerouac digs a right hand into Power's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Power's gas tank.

Kerouac has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Power is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kerouac creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Power escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kerouac wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kerouac shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Power but Power pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kerouac uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Power has time to react.

It looks like Powder Power has been cut.

Kerouac lands a big right hand that sends Power crashing to the mat! Kerouac stays standing though and waves Power back to his feet!

Power is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Power throws a head kick but Kerouac moves out of range.
Oh Power is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Powder Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Power takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Power seems to have got his legs back now.
Power throws a leg kick but Kerouac checks it.
As Power backs off Kerouac throws a huge counter combo but Power manages to avoid it all.

Power throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kerouac changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Kerouac is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Kerouac connects with a good right hand that stumbles Power. Power circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kerouac lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Power circles away quickly and effectively.

and Kerouac counters with a huge left! Power is in big trouble! He's backing up but Kerouac isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Power from any more damage. A dominating finish by Kerouac!

After the fight, Jack Kerouac was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
