These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lasse Savisto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Ebert!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebert fails in his attempt to clinch.

It looks like Jason Ebert has been cut.

Savisto thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ebert is pushing Savisto's head away, looking to escape. Savisto manages to hold on to the position though.
Ebert seems to have recovered his senses.

Savisto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ebert has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ebert pushes Savisto away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Savisto gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Savisto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Ebert bucks up and tries to throw Savisto off but instead Savisto has got his back!

Ebert is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Savisto gets his way!
Ebert is trying to get back to his feet but Savisto has full control of the position and if anything, Ebert has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Ebert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savisto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
