Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Drunk (ranked 3258 p4p, 3400 weight class) and Nakagawa Kunisada (ranked 378 p4p, 390 weight class). King Drunk had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Drunk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nakagawa Kunisada! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kunisada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Kunisada. No joy for Drunk on that attempt. Drunk has been working on his balance at Monkey Business, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kunisada. Kunisada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drunk but Drunk pushes him off and we're back to square one. Drunk shoots in and bounces Kunisada off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kunisada looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kunisada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Drunk is aware though and is defending well. Kunisada looking for a guillotine here but Drunk defends easily.
Drunk landing some decent shots from guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drunk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drunk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kunisada keeping full guard, as Drunk tries to pass. Drunk distracts Kunisada with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Drunk wants to pass the guard but Kunisada is keeping the position. Drunk postures up.

Drunk lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kunisada escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Drunk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Drunk postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Drunk looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Drunk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Drunk trying to control the position from guard on top but Kunisada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drunk is looking to work some ground and pound but Kunisada has wrist control. Kunisada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Drunk is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drunk slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kunisada keeping full guard, as Drunk tries to pass. Drunk seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Drunk chips away with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drunk working some strikes from top position. Drunk controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Drunk is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kunisada is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kunisada keeping moving, preventing Drunk from controlling successfully. Drunk showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Drunk forces his way into half guard. Nice strikes from Drunk there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kunisada on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Drunk is looking to take a break and control but Kunisada is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kunisada tries to get to full guard but Drunk has control of the leg. Drunk slips a nice elbow through Kunisada's hands, connecting with Kunisada's forehead. Drunk missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kunisada wants to get back to full guard. Kunisada has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Drunk is working away from the top position though. Drunk is nestled in close to Kunisada, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Drunk wants to control but Kunisada is keeping him busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drunk working the head and body with strikes. Drunk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Drunk sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
King Drunk dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Drunk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kunisada is fending him off so far but Drunk persists. Nope, Kunisada circles away and we're back to standing. Drunk misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kunisada.
Kunisada gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kunisada gets underhooks to prevent Drunk's takedown attempt.
Kunisada is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Drunk to keep the fight standing. Drunk tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Drunk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kunisada jumps into guard, dragging Drunk to the mat.
Kunisada has momentary wrist control but Drunk slips an elbow through the middle. Kunisada is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Drunk trying to control the position from guard on top but Kunisada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kunisada working a defensive guard here.

Kunisada has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Drunk doesn't defend quickly enough and Kunisada has managed to lock this one up! Can Drunk escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kunisada on a fantastic submission victory.
