Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Frost (ranked 25370 p4p, 2509 weight class) and Jerry Mouse (ranked 553 p4p, 262 weight class). Jerry Mouse will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Mouse!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Frost gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mouse.

Mouse successfully pulls guard.
Frost works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Frost performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Mouse is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mouse is looking for a sweep. Frost is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Frost tries to pass to full mount but Mouse defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frost is taking a breather. Mouse says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Frost seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frost is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mouse moves into full guard.
Frost is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Frost got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mouse has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Frost has managed to get both his arms back between Mouse's legs - danger averted.

Mouse has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Frost is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mouse.
Mouse tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Frost seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mouse is holding on tight.

Frost is working for a guillotine from mount but Mouse frees his head quite easily.
Mouse sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Frost looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Still in half guard, Frost seems content to control.
Mouse is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Frost's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Frost's back!
Our spies down at at Monkey Business inform us that Mouse has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Mouse is looking for the choke from the back position but Frost is controlling his hands well.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Frost will probably get the nod.

Mouse changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Frost throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mouse was covering up waiting for the punch and Frost finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mouse escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Frost takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Frost is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mouse sees it coming and defends easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Frost in particular looking to stall.

Mouse shoots for a double leg takedown but Frost sprawls well. He's pushed Mouse's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
