Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gecko Armstrong (ranked 5199 p4p, 4703 weight class) and Vitalik Kaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gecko Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vitalik Kaska! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaska gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Armstrong to score an easy takedown into full guard. Armstrong wants to pass the guard but Kaska is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Armstrong controlling from the top position. Armstrong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armstrong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaska looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Armstrong tries to free his leg and advance position but Kaska is retaining full guard. Kaska being controlled here, momentarily. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kaska keeping moving, preventing Armstrong from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Kaska looks for a takedown but Armstrong sprawls well. Nice sprawl there from Armstrong as Kaska shoots in. Armstrong throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Armstrong shoots in and bounces Kaska off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kaska wants to get back to his feet but Armstrong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaska avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Armstrong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kaska is keeping the position for now. Kaska is pulling down on Armstrong's head to control his posture. Armstrong throws a big elbow that misses. Armstrong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong won't allow Kaska to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Vitalik Kaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Armstrong shoots in and bounces Kaska off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Armstrong seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kaska lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Armstrong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong keeping moving, preventing Kaska from controlling successfully. Armstrong bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kaska's guard. Armstrong wants to pass the guard but Kaska is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Armstrong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Armstrong controls from within his opponent's guard. Kaska looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gecko Armstrong dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Armstrong closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Armstrong lands in his opponent's guard. Armstrong wants to control from the top but Kaska keeps moving. Armstrong stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Kaska throws up his legs and catches Armstrong in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Armstrong tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Kaska! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Vitalik Kaska!
