Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Brue (ranked 5051 p4p, 4672 weight class) and Donny Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Brue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donny Sims!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brue shoots in for a takedown but Sims shows good takedown defense.
Sims thuds his shin into the meat of Brue's side.
Brue scores with a head kick.
Brue keeps the fight on the outside.
Sloppy strikes from Sims. Those never looked like landing.
Sims fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Brue looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sims is fending him off so far but Brue persists. Nope, Sims circles away and we're back to standing.
A thudding body kick lands there by Brue!
Sims closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sims jumps guard but Brue stands there with Sims around his waist. Sims gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Brue breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sims scores with a head kick. Brue tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Sims tries to keep at a distance but Brue has taken the fight into the clinch.
Brue pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sims doesn't manage to clinch there - Brue circles away.
Sims throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

enabling Brue to counter with a crisp jab.
Sims shoots in and drives through. Brue sprawls well.
Sean Brue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donny Sims.
Sims shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brue sprawls well. Brue wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sims gets slowly back to his feet.

Sims looks for the body kick but Brue saw that one coming.
Sims gets a double leg takedown into Brue's guard.
Sims looks winded!
Sims wants to control from the top but Brue keeps moving.
Brue trying to keep a closed guard but Sims is proving a slippery customer.
Brue pulls Sims in to control the position.
Brue wants to get back to his feet but Sims is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Brue has his foot on Sims's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sims works his way back into a safe position though.

Sims trying to control the position from guard on top but Brue is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brue manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Brue prevents Sims from breaking the clinch.
Brue has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sims uses from the top position.
Sims looking to sit in guard and control but Brue gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sims is wriggling around but Brue manages to pass to half guard.
Brue decides to stand up.

Sims misses with a body kick.
Brue gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Brue pushes Sims off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brue has Sims up against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Brue is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sims gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sims prevents the takedown attempt.
Brue has hold of one of Sims's legs. Sims is fighting the takedown attempt but Brue gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Brue throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sims fails with a takedown attempt.

Sims dives in for a single leg takedown but Brue sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brue closes the distance and clinches up with Sims, looking for a takedown. Brue pushes Sims against the cage but Sims circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sims shoots and misses
and Brue counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sims is lucky that one didn't land flush.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brue moves into the clinch.
Sims is breathing heavily.
Brue jumps guard.
Brue trying to control the position.
Sims tries to free his leg and advance position but Brue is retaining full guard.

Brue wants to get back to his feet but Sims is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sims stands and steps away. Brue gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sims closes the distance and clinches.
Brue fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sims breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brue keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sims.
Sims fails with the takedown
and Brue counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sims won't be happy with that.

Brue is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sims knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Sims is not content to let Brue control the position.
Brue tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Check out the look on Brue's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Brue decides to stand back up. Brue steps back and let's Sims get back to his feet.
Brue swats away the attempt to clinch by Sims.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Sims.
Brue manages to get back to half guard.
Sims is looking to stall here but Brue recovers full guard.
Sims trying to control but Brue is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Sims forces Brue back against the cage and clinches.
Sims tries to break the clinch but Brue is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Brue breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sims takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Sims shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brue is trying to defend but Sims finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sims can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brue is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sims prevents Brue from getting the reversal.

Brue slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Sean Brue overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sims takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Brue trying to keep a closed guard but Sims is proving a slippery customer.
Brue working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sims doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sims manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brue looking for a guillotine here but Sims defends easily.
Sims stays in close to Brue's body and controls the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Donny Sims comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
