Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kosmodrom Baikonurov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrzej Bebok!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baikonurov connects with a single shot there.
Bebok walks into a jab.
Baikonurov lands the left hand.
Baikonurov lands a nice shot to the body.

and Baikonurov counters with a nice right hand that sends Bebok toppling to the canvas! Bebok scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Baikonurov finish him?!

Baikonurov scores with a hook to the body. Bebok takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Bebok shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baikonurov defends it nicely.

Bebok swings wildly with an uppercut but Baikonurov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Baikonurov is working Bebok over against the cage.
Baikonurov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bebok backwards.

Baikonurov cracks Bebok with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Baikonurov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bebok to stand back up!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bebok has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baikonurov rushes Bebok and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

I was talking to Baikonurov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Baikonurov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Bebok letting Baikonurov take a breather here.

Baikonurov drops Bebok with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bebok looks back up at him and smiles so Baikonurov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Baikonurov digs a good body shot into Bebok's ribs.

Baikonurov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bebok sprawling to the canvas! Bebok rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Baikonurov finish him?!
Baikonurov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Baikonurov lands an uppercut.
Baikonurov dips a shoulder and cracks Bebok with a mighty uppercut! Bebok falls back against the cage and Baikonurov unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bebok is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Baikonurov screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kosmodrom Baikonurov!
