The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Leighton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Leighton half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Perez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leighton as he jumps to the side.
Leighton closes the distance and pushes Perez back into the cage.

Leighton trying to control the position from guard on top but Perez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Perez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Perez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Leighton is aware though and is defending well.
Perez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leighton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leighton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
