Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akio Kurosaki (ranked 6408 p4p, 6447 weight class) and Rickson Bravo (ranked 329 p4p, 333 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akio Kurosaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rickson Bravo!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch but Kurosaki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kurosaki misses the jab.
Kurosaki misses with a straight right.
Kurosaki sets himself, and Bravo steps forward looking for the clinch! Kurosaki avoids it this time.
Bravo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bravo wants to clinch.
Bravo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kurosaki throws out the jab.
Bravo slips a jab from Kurosaki.
Bravo wants to counter with a clinch but Kurosaki pushes him away.
Kurosaki fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bravo jumps guard but Kurosaki stands there with Bravo around his waist. Bravo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bravo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Bravo decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bravo is looking for a triangle but Kurosaki pushes his legs off easily.
Kurosaki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bravo keeping moving, preventing Kurosaki from controlling successfully.

Bravo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bravo is looking for a triangle but Kurosaki pushes his legs off easily.

Bravo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kurosaki controls the pace.

Bravo has his foot on Kurosaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kurosaki works his way back into a safe position though.
Kurosaki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kurosaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kurosaki has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo's legs - danger averted.

Kurosaki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bravo working for a triangle but Kurosaki defends it easily.
Kurosaki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bravo is on top in guard.

Bravo wants to control from the top but Kurosaki keeps moving.

Bravo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kurosaki seems keen to control Bravo's posture.
Kurosaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bravo on the ground.
Kurosaki wants to hit a sweep here but Bravo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kurosaki there!
Bravo looking to control but Kurosaki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kurosaki tries to hold on but Bravo postures up.
Bravo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kurosaki is looking to escape.

Bravo looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Bravo trying to control but Kurosaki is having none of it.

Kurosaki is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bravo throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Kurosaki has his hands clasped together but Bravo breaks the hold and Kurosaki is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Bravo!
