Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Giorgio Petrosyan (ranked 4493 p4p, 6101 weight class) and Max Johnson (ranked 551 p4p, 648 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'm all about cool. Max Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giorgio Petrosyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrosyan throws out the jab.
Max Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrosyan misses the shot to the body.

Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.

Petrosyan breaks from the clinch.
Petrosyan misses with an uppercut
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Petrosyan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Johnson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Johnson drives through and clinches with Petrosyan against the cage.
Petrosyan prevents Johnson from breaking the clinch.
Petrosyan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Johnson's elbow.

Petrosyan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrosyan is just out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Petrosyan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson tries to clinch up but Petrosyan circles away and keeps his distance.

Johnson moves into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Petrosyan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Petrosyan has him pressed against the cage.
Petrosyan tries to throw a body punch but Johnson avoids it by throwing Petrosyan back against the cage.
Johnson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Petrosyan slows down the pace here.

Johnson blocks an uppercut.

Petrosyan breaks the clinch.
A left lands for Petrosyan.
Petrosyan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.
Petrosyan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Petrosyan has him pressed against the cage.

Petrosyan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A big right from Petrosyan misses.
Petrosyan lands a body shot.
Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Petrosyan counter with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petrosyan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Johnson.

Johnson is rocked!
Johnson wants to clinch but Petrosyan slips to the side
and Petrosyan counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Johnson badly! Petrosyan follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Johnson out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Petrosyan finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Giorgio Petrosyan!
A very excited looking Giorgio Petrosyan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Max Johnson spoke after the fight, saying 'we tried we just need to hit the gym more and come back and be 10 times better then the next guy.'.
