Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Underwood (ranked 25273 p4p, 6687 weight class) and Jose Balboa (ranked 753 p4p, 700 weight class). Balboa has chosen 20 de Abril by Celtas Cortos as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Balboa!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balboa avoids the head kick by Underwood.
Underwood moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Underwood is breathing heavily.

Underwood is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Balboa can't fight it off and eventually Underwood manages to take the fight to the floor. Balboa looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Balboa manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Balboa lands a good knee to the midsection. Underwood won't want to take too many of those.

Underwood turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Underwood manages to end up in side control.
