And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Wille Thai!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Averyanov takes a swing at Thai's ribcage but misses.
A clash of legs there as Thai blocks the low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Averyanov. No joy for Thai on that attempt.

and Averyanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Wille Thai has been cut.
Thai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Averyanov.
Thai tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thai moves away from the strike by Averyanov.
Thai changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Thai.

Thai tries for a kimura but Averyanov is defending well.

Thai is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Averyanov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Thai working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Thai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Averyanov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Thai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Thai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Thai has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Averyanov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Thai yanks on the arm and Averyanov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Thai.
