Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Winters (ranked 404 p4p, 1224 weight class) and Richard Ramirez (ranked 60 p4p, 164 weight class). Winters comes to the cage accompanied by All Along the Watchtower. Ramirez has chosen Get Lucky as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dick Winters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Topper Green and John Mangel.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Winters is taking a breather. Ramirez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ramirez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez tries to get to full guard but Winters has control of the leg. Ramirez trying to hold on to Winters's head to control him but Winters postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Winters slows the pace down in half guard. Winters winds up and cracks Ramirez with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Ramirez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Winters pulls his head out easily. Winters has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Winters moves nicely into side control. Winters in side control, just content to control the action for now. Winters throwing strikes but missing, from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Ramirez prevents Winters from improving position. Winters has an Americana. Ramirez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Winters is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Winters hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Dick Winters! An out of breath Dick Winters thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Richard Ramirez spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll end you!'.
