Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Malig (ranked 2721 p4p, 6070 weight class) and Deano Clavet (ranked 168 p4p, 304 weight class). Deano Clavet will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clavet ducks under a wild hook from Malig.
Clavet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Malig manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice defenses there by Clavet.

Clavet looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Clavet trying to control from half guard but Malig is working away.
Clavet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Malig's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Clavet is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Malig has managed to free his arm - good work.

Clavet is looking to take a break and control but Malig is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clavet is trying to control the action in half guard but Malig is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Malig makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Malig.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Malig is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Clavet as he works his way to full guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Malig sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Clavet's guard.
Malig uses his free foot to push down on Clavet's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Clavet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Malig has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Clavet! Can he survive? No! He's out! Malig gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
