Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tikhon Karyavin (ranked 4082 p4p, 5231 weight class) and King Simbolon (ranked 0 p4p, 585 weight class). King Simbolon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karyavin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Simbolon quickly recovers to half guard.

Karyavin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Simbolon napping and manages to drive through into side control!

A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Simbolon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ground and pound from Karyavin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Simbolon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Simbolon is looking for a triangle but Karyavin pushes his legs off easily.

Karyavin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Simbolon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Karyavin is nestled in close to Simbolon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
